Senior officers from the US and Qatar’s prime minister joined the third day of oblique peace talks between Israel and Hamas, with figures from each side of the battle expressing cautious optimism with the negotiations’ progress. Hamas handed over a listing of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons that the militant group desires launched in trade for releasing the remaining hostages in Gaza.
