John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis gained the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics on Tuesday for analysis into quantum mechanical tunneling. The researchers can be formally awarded the prize at a ceremony on December 10, the anniversary of prize founder Alfred Nobel’s loss of life.
